Ms BLNPA Bikini Judging Criteria
The judging will be conducted in two rounds. The first and second rounds will be conducted during the Evening show. Absolutely NO offensive costumes will be allowed (see through tops, thongs etc.) Excessive body piercing jewelry (chains connecting rings) should be removed prior to the show.
There will be two or more OPEN height classes, divided evenly prior to the show.
EVENING SHOW JUDGING
Round 1: Themed Sportswear Round
You have a chance to show your modeling talents and your creativity. Just like the stage walk round you will be asked to walk from one side of the stage to the other performing quarter turns at a specific point outline on stage. The themed apparel you select should best represent your character, Personality, athletic interests and/or any other appearance you’re comfortable wearing. Just make sure it compliments your body. This is an opportunity for the contestants to get creative with their costume which can be designed of any sports in mind. Absolutely NO offensive costumes will be allowed (see through tops, thongs etc.)
In this round judges will be looking for: Poise and Presence, Sports Wear Selection, Appearance, and a good smile. Judges will rate the competitors from 1 to 10. A rating of 10 means that the presentation was excellent. A rating of 5 means that the presentation was satisfactory and performed without any significant errors, and a rating of 1 indicates the need for additional work. Judges can add increments of .5 to the score if they deem it necessary.
Round 2: Stage Walk and Comparison Rounds
Stage Walk:
In this round, contestant attire is restricted to 2-piece swimsuit and high heels. The suit can be outlined with rhinestones. Excessive use of rhinestones can result in lowering your Presentation score. With regard to the high heels, there are no restrictions on the sole or height of the heel. This round will consist of an individual stage walk. (Competitors will walk in numerical order) After having your number called by the Head Judge, the contestant will perform the stage walk. After the stage walk, the contestant will exit the stage area. The entire stage walk should have an even flow. Turning into your poses should be as smooth as possible. With regard to scoring the Stage Walk, the judges will be looking for grace during the stage walk (walking in heels).
Comparison Round:
This round will consist of a group presentation and quarter turns. This is where the contestants are being compared against the members of their height class. The areas being scored in this round are Physique and Presentation. With regard to Physique, the judges are looking for athletic conditioning and symmetry. The judges will rank each competitor in comparison to the competitors in her class. With regard to Presentation, the judges will be looking for: poise, skin tone, make-up, hairstyle, and a good smile. Judges will rate the competitors from 1 to 10. A rating of 10 means that the presentation was excellent. A rating of 5 means that the presentation was satisfactory and performed without any significant errors, and a rating of 1 indicates the need for additional work. Judges can add increments of .5 to the score if they deem it necessary. |
